Kamel Boukhalfa is currently a Full Professor at the National School of Artificial Intelligence, Sidi Abdellah, Algiers. He is researcher at University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene, Algiers (USTHB) and member of the ISI research team at LSI Laboratory. He received the engineer diploma in Computer Science from USTHB in 1997, the master degree in Computer Science from the same university in February 2002. He joined, in 2002, the Advanced Technology Development Research Center for the development of Tele-health projects. He received the Ph.D diploma from Poitiers (France) and USTHB (Algeria) Universities in 2009. He received the accreditation to supervise research (HDR) from USTHB February 2011. His main research interests are databases, data warehousing, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Data mining and Optimization.
He has directed several research projects at USTHB University. He has directed projects for the socio-economic sector such as the project of the centralized database of statistics of the insurance sector currently hosted at the National Council of Insurance. He has supervised several doctoral students, nine of whom have defended their thesis.
