Biography

Dr. Noureddine Lasla received the B.Sc. and M.Sc.degrees in 2005 and 2008 from the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB) and the Superior National School of Computer Science (ESI), respectively, and received his PhD degree in 2015 from the USTHB, all in computer science. He was a Researcher at CERIST research center, Algiers, Algeria from 2010 to 2017, and then a Research Scientist with the Qatar Mobility Innovations Center (QMIC), Doha, Qatar, from 2017 to 2018.
He also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Division of Information and Computing Technology at Hamad Bin Khelifa Univeristy (HBKU), Qatar from 2008 to 2021. Since 2022, he has been an Assistant Professor at the National School of Artificial Intelligence (ENSIA), Algeria with expertise in distributed systems, network communication and cyber security.
Dr. Noureddine is well experienced in distributed systems, IoT and cyber-security, and has done research related to consensus algorithms, communication protocols, network performances, system architecture and privacy. He has recently developed a novel lightweight Bitcoin simulator and an energy-efficient consensus algorithm for public blockchain.
